Never underestimate the joy in the simple things, a blanket over Spring’s first grass, bare feet after a long Winter, flying a simple paper airplane and a little hide and seek! Thank you so much Corrie and Noah for spending the morning playing with me!
We headed over to a nearby park for the second part of this special shoot to coomemorate Noah’s upcoming 4th birthday! For this part of the shoot I had a vintage trunk from the 1940′s, vintage globe and airplanes from the 1970′s and one of my husband’s flight maps. I loved just watching Noah play and seeing his expressions. Noah has the sweetest soul, he is so gentle and kind and I think he enjoyed the little boy toys just as much as the “big boy toys” at the airport!

This stylized portrait shoot was crafted in celebration of Noah’s 4th birthday! Noah loves airplane’s and his great grandfather was a pilot! I wanted to find a vintage airplane and I knew a bi-plane would be too big. This gorgeous 1948 Piper Cub PA-11 was just the perfect scale ! Noah’s mom found the perfect aviator jacket and Noah brought a beautiful aviator teddy bear that is very precious to him. I found a vintage pint sized suitcase and visited the pilot shop at the airport for the cool “fly” sticker! The morning was full of unexpected special surprises, a taxi-way ride out to the tarmac with mom, a beautiful pin for his jacket of the airplane from the pilot and testing out the driver’s seat in a 1955 T-bird! Noah’s curiosity, excitement and pure joy was so much fun to capture! This little aviator was retro cool all the way!

I just love this famly so much! Mom and dad are such a beautiful couple! The kids are just sweet and gorgeous and I have enjoyed watching them all grow! We did this session as a mini shoot for family portraits and holiday cards and gifts! Its always a joy to photograph them!

I was so excited when I received Kim’s email! Not only did she want to celebrate her close relationship with her cousin’s by having some portraits done, she included the most precious pictures of all of them together as young girls! It reminded me so much of me and my own cousins! Life goes by so quickly and even though these beautiful ladies- all busy moms- do not all live close by, they made their relationship a priority by having a little girl’s weekend- shopping included of course! Their style is just so gorgeous and they really rocked these shots! These images are so dear to me! You all are just stunning! Thank You!
